My Mandate

I was not brought forth to carry everyone's burdens all day long.  Neither was I born to be the doormat for everyone else to dump their problems on.  I was not created to be manipulated by emotions nor was I to be subject to the behavior of those who abuse.  I was adopted as a son into the greatest Kingdom the universe as ever known.  As a son, I have been positioned by the Spirit of the Lord to render judgment upon the forces of evil and to set the captives free from all forms of oppression.

I was born into a middle class family that had all the appearances of joy and happiness.  I know what it is like to watch your family fall apart in a matter of moments and your world appear to be caving in.  I know what it is like to walk in integrity and it be the one thing that you try to protect only to have your name slandered by someone you considered to be your best friend.  I know what it is like to be shot and ask if there was something you were doing wrong.  I know what it is like to have lost countless friends who found it easier to run away then to walk through the fire with me.  

I know what it is like to have physical pain that keeps you up all night and I know what it is like to loose sleep for days on end do to the anguish of soul.  I have been shot, betrayed, stolen from, slandered, used, harassed, and left for dead.

However, in all of this I am more than a conquerer in Christ.  Like the Apostle Paul I can say I have been hard pressed on every side yet not crushed.  I have been perplexed but not in despair, persecuted but not forsaken; struck down but not destroyed.  I am committed to filing up in my flesh that which is lacking in the afflictions of Christ.  As a father in the Lord I understand that I am sent to blaze a trail for others to travel.  I refuse to abandon the assignment the Lord has asked of me.  I refuse not to forgive, to become bitter or let the opinions of others derail me.  I will love with the love of Jesus all those who are around me.  I will not let their pain or bitterness stop me.

I am called to bring reformation and transformation to my city, my region, my nation and my world.  My mandate from the Lord has become my life's mission.  It is only with the grace of the Lord laboring through me that I can do it.  I am sure that the grace the Lord is upon me so I will accomplish it!!!!
